I am so grateful for you and how your mentorship has completely changed my teaching and singing for the better. It was such a blessing having you here in Edmonton and crazy how it all happened. So cool.
Your class helped me in so many ways!!
Not only did I learn a significant amount of new information, new perspectives & new ‘ways to learn’ that which I did not know prior, but I also came away feeling more validated & secure with what it was that I did know, which was important beyond description at this point of my life.
It’s now past the first day of the year and the usual date to post resolutions, but I’ve spent the past week reflecting on what I want from 2016. And I keep coming back to where I was a year ago, and there is one woman who I must acknowledge: Lisa Haupert, renowned vocal coach and owner of the Nashville studio, Shameless Singing.
She approached me a year ago this month after a show I played, wondering if she could talk to me about my voice. I had always found the speed at which I seemed to lose my voice frustrating, and more recently had felt less and less in control of my vocal cords. I didn’t know what was going on, or how to help my vocal cords. Lisa, a certified vocal coach and registered nurse, could hear what was going on and knew she could help. During several sessions, we worked through everything from physical muscle tension problems I was having, to correct movement of the larynx, to the to the toll that stress can have on the voice. Fast-forward 6 months to my first time as an artist in CMA Festival, and there was Lisa right by my side supporting me. Thanks to her guidance, I made it through 4 days of talking nonstop to fans and playing shows at night without losing or damaging my voice. I’m a new vocalist and person, and I am excited to take on 2016 because of this amazing woman.
If you’ve ever thought about vocal lessons or improving general vocal health, then reaching out to Lisa and the staff of Shameless Singing will be the best choice you’ll ever make. Lisa quite literally changed my life.
Lisa Haupert blends groundbreaking vocal science and benevolent tutelage into a wickedly effective method of connecting my production clients with the very best of their vocal potential, be it studio or live performance.
I choose Lisa as a singing coach because she’s capable to orientate me and give me the tools I need fast and efficiently. I feel very motivated and my singing has improved wonderfully, even though we are thousands of miles away!
As a speech-language pathologist, vocologist and singer, I highly recommend Lisa’s Be A Singing Teacher course. Lisa’s teachings are grounded in evidence-based practice and current, scientific research. But don’t get me wrong: even though the science is serious, the lessons are also really fun! You may be learning the physics behind formants one minute and analyzing Cher’s unique sound the next. BAST is the perfect blend of science and art
Thank You for the great lesson and perfect tools for singing my new song with ease in a choice of 8 keys!!!
Lisa has the incredible ability to put one at ease and build confidence in
a very vulnerable feeling craft. She works from a place of sincerity and
builds trust through her honest encouragement. Some people may feel
sensitive about matters of the voice, but Lisa is able to (metaphorically)
slap you with reality and give you a kiss on the cheek at the same
time. Her approach takes the unnecessary preciousness right out of the
situation — giving you space to grow, in the most loving way.
Lisa Haupert: Voice teacher or miracle worker?
I had worked with at least half a dozen vocal instructors before finally finding my miracle worker. Somehow Lisa has the ability to really understand where your voice is AND how to get it to where it needs to be, all while making you feel good about yourself in the process! She has the unique ability to instantly feel like your friend…as well as your voice’s friend. After studying with Lisa, I gained new found confidence not only in my voice, but in my ability. I quickly snagged roles as Roxie in Chicago, Maria in the Sound of Music, and The Witch in Into the Woods–only to name a few. Thanks Lisa!!
Lisa, one day after our lesson and I’m in the practice room with a huge smile! The techniques you shared with me yesterday have really helped my routine a great deal already. I’d love to get together again sometime in the near future. I’ll definitely be in touch.
I just wanted to write to thank you again and share with you how much of a difference I notice today when I’m conscious of the things you taught me.
